Website & Public Auction pages
Maxanet can be used as a standalone website or it can be integrated into your existing site.
- Free WordPress auction website which we help you customize. WordPress gives you the ability to make your own changes to the site without HTML knowledge
- Maxanet WordPress Plugin – our powerful plugin can be installed on any 3rd party hosted WordPress website to display your Current or Past Auctions
- The public auction pages include features such as: New Bidder Registration, bidder profile, watch list, outbid email alerts, outbid text message alerts, advanced search, auction countdown timers, item countdown timers, auto-extended bidding, max bids, emailed invoicing, and much much more.
- When the admin adds an auction through the admin panel, it automatically appears on the website

Apple & Google Mobile App
The all-new Maxanet mobile app is available for both Apple & Android at no additional cost for our clients.
The App is for our clients to quickly create new auctions, add & manage inventory, and of course, to take inventory images – that are uploaded instantly. Multiple company users can use the App at the same time – making the inventory lotting process much more efficient. Try out the ‘Fast Pic Taker’ to use the App to only take inventory photos – it’s fast – and our App includes image editing tools such as cropping and image rotation.

Below is a list of some of the highlight features of our admin panel and public auction pages
Online Bidding Features:
- Auction Formats – Online Only, Open Bidding, Maximum Bidding, Price List (buy now), Hidden Bidding, Live Assistant
- Real Time Updates – countdown timers and current bid prices auto-update in real time as bids come in
- Staggered Ending – Adjustable setting: On/Off, 1 item/60 minutes all the way to 50 items/minute.
- Auto-extending bid closing – Leaves bidding open for any time that has received a bid within the last x minutes
- MaxBid feature lets the system bid for the bidder up to their max – Great for absentee bidding or those who want to set their price and walk away
- Email or Text Message notifications to outbid bidders – Automatic email or Text message alerts to keep bidders engaged
- Grouping / Multi-Par – Group items together in a Horse-race style of bidding that allows bidders to get the item, or items they want
Bidder Registration:
- Secure server – to collect & store credit card data
- Automatic or manual Registration approval – the admin can allow for automatic approval, or they can manually approve all new bidder registrations
- Failed Registrations – a log is kept of all registration attempts so the admin can contact those prospective bidders
- Collect Deposit – an optional fee can be charged to specific bidders credit cards on file after registration
- Bidding privileges – the admin can disable bidding privileges and delete current winning bids with 1 touch
- Private Auctions – bidders would need to be pre-approved by the admin in order to bid in a Private Auction
- Tax Exemptions – certificates/info uploaded need to be manually reviewed and approved by an admin
Inventory & Photo Features:
- Items/Descriptions – Add one item at a time or upload descriptions in bulk through an MS Excel file
- Mobile App – free mobile App for the admins to create auctions, inventory, and upload photos in real time
- No limit to the number of photos per auction or per item
- Inventory Item Attributes – Add inventory quantities, starting bids, reserve prices, buy it now prices, embed YouTube videos, or documents to the item level
- Duplication Features – Save, Save & Close, Save & New, Save & Duplicate. You can also copy/clone items from one auction to another
- QR Code Bulk Image Upload – use our built-in Lot Labels with QR codes for bulk image uploading
- Image Editing Tools – built in rotation, cropping, resize, flip, draw-on, text overlay, and more
Managing the Auction:
- Analytics – each auction dashboard has metrics to view the current totals, # of bidders, most watched items, pageviews, and much more. You can even hook in your own Google Analytics account for full tracking of activity on your public auction pages
- Configurations – our Public Page Config gives clients the ability to customize the look and feel of the pages as well as multiple configuration options
- Bidders – the Bidders tab shows all participating bidders in the auction along with their contact information and current totals
- Editing the auction – the admin can change/update all attributes of the auctions at any time – even when the auction is live or already ended
- Bidding Increments – set your own custom bid increments for each auction
- Permissions – our system has robust permission levels for clients with multiple employees. The admin decides what each user can see and edit in the admin panel
- Delete bids – easily remove standard bids or max-bids on any item
- Email Bidders – built in Contact manager allows for bulk emails to registered bidders, participating bidders of a specific sale, or bidders who have placed a bid on a certain item
MaxanetPay – credit card processing:
- Credit Card Required – require new bidders to register with a Credit Card
- Process payments – at the end of the auction the admin can charge a card on file one at a time, or in bulk
- Split Payments – charge the full amount, or any amount
- Refunds – easily issue a total or partial refund right through the Auction dashboard
- Pre-Bid credit card authorization – optional authorize & void option
- Pre-Bid credit card collect deposit – optional capture & charge option (with void or refund option)
- Address Verification Settings – the admin can set Strict, Soft, or no AVS settings for bidder registration
- Cash Buyer – an option to mark specific bidders as ‘Cash Buyers’ which is notated on the Invoices page
Bidder Invoicing & Settlement Reports:
- Invoice Configuration – set font sizes, logo, remove HTML formatting from descriptions, show/hide item descriptions on invoices, Summary & Detailed invoices, pull report for inventory management, header & footer custom text inside the invoices, show/hide bidder email addresses on invoices
- Apply FEES – any number of custom fees can be applied to the Auction, to the Item, or to the Invoice(s). Buyers Premium (taxable or non-taxable), Sales Tax, custom fees, shipping fees, sliding scale fees. These can be done one at a time, or in bulk.
- Summary & Reports – real time summary of Bid Totals, Premium, Tax, Fees, and total Amount. Downloadable MS Excel Sales Tax report lists all data points across all items in the auction
- Email Invoices – invoices are generated as printer friendly PDF attachments and sent via email to the winning bidders. The ‘FROM’ address, subject, and body of this email, along with all of other system emails, can be customized by the client. Our system has a robust email validation service to ensure emails get into your bidders inboxes and not the spam/junk folders
- Offline Items – easily add new items after the sale, and assign them to an invoice. Or move an item from one invoice to another. There is also an option to mark an invoice as ‘Defunct’ which removes it from the settlement report and opens the items to be resold to another bidder
- Mark Invoices/Items as Shipping or Picked Up – mark an invoice as Shipped/Pickedup and add a Tracking# or additional info. Quickly identify which items or invoices have yet to be shipped picked up
- Consignors – assign inventory items to Consignors. Optionally, consignors can log in like a bidder to their public profile and load their own inventory & photos which are then assigned to an auction by an admin
- Consignor Settlements – detailed Settlement reports are auto-generated at the end of the auction. All Items, Invoice Paid Items, Invoice Unpaid Items, and No Bid Items reports available. Apply Commission %’s, sliding scale commissions, seller fees, seller credits to Settlement Reports. Display optional bidder info on the Settlement reports. Configuration options for the Settlement reports is the same as the above Invoice Configuration options
Live Chat Support & Knowledge Base:
- Support – We offer 100% free support for our platform. We work with each new client 1 on 1 using screenshare meetings to assist you in getting your first auction up and live on the site. We’ll also schedule a screenshare meeting to assist you with invoicing your first sale to make sure everything goes smoothly.
- Live Chat – built into your Maxanet admin panel is our Live Chat box. Instantly connect with one of our Support team members to get answers to questions in real time. Our live chat is available during the day, in the evenings, and even on the weekends.
- Email – If we’re not available for a live chat, you can always send us an email to Support@Maxanet.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP
- Knowledge base – we have an extensive FAQ page available for our clients to reference at any time. This includes both videos and written step by step instructions
- System Updates – we are constantly updating our software with new features and enhancements. We take the time to talk to and listen to our clients to better understand their needs or requests for additional functionality in our software.
